Independent Pharmacies Still Facing Issues Stocking Paxlovid Anti-COVID Pill

The Biden administration is still broadening access to Pfizer’s Paxlovid, an antiviral pill that combats COVID-19. The drug significantly reduces serious symptoms, hospitalizations and deaths, especially for people who have risk factors like heart disease. But independent pharmacies in the region still face barriers in getting it into their stores. WHYY’s Marcus Biddle reports.
