Phoenixville to Build First-Of-Its-Kind Hydrothermal Carbonization Plant

Phoenixville has plans to build what it says will be the first hydrothermal carbonization plant at a wastewater treatment plant in all of North America. The hydrothermal carbonization is an alternative approach to sewage treatment that can harness useful byproducts such as energy. WHYY’s Kenny Cooper has more.
