Philadelphia’s 2020 HIV Rates Mirror Reduced Screenings During the Pandemic

The number of reported cases of newly diagnosed HIV infections in Philadelphia declined last year. From 446 in 2019 to 332 in 2020. But that’s not because the spread of the virus is declining. WHYY's Zoe Read reports that HIV screening declined significantly during the pandemic.
