A group called Ameristar Rail wants to privatize the rail system on Amtrak's northeast corridor. They say they don’t want to replace Amtrak, but simply enhance it. WHYY’s Zoe Read reports the trains would operate on Amtrak’s lines and stations, but there are plans for new stations and new technology.
