Eight Pennsylvania municipalities are slated to exit the Act 47 distressed municipalities program in the next 10 months. But as WITF’s Gabriela Martinez reports, an official with the state Department of Community and Economic Development says more needs to be done to prevent some municipalities from backsliding.
