Wary of COVID-19, Homeless Shelters Prepare for Winter Weather

People with no homes to go to pitch their tents on the concourse at the 16th Street PATCO station to get out of the cold.

Frigid temperatures gave way to winter weather over the recent weekend. WHYY's Laura Benshoff reports that area homeless shelters were gearing up to offer emergency winter shelter space that's pandemic-safe.
