A New Facility Planned for the Lehigh Valley Would Rehabilitate Former Military and Police Dogs

Decommissioned K9 Cirrus, the namesake of the planned center in the Lehigh Valley.

What happens to a dog who served alongside military forces overseas when they are no longer needed in the field? What about former law enforcement K9s? Althea Seeds is working to bring a facility to the Lehigh Valley that would help former working dogs transition to a new life.

WDIY's Shamus McGroggan sits down for a second conversation with Seeds, one of the owners of the Dining Dog and Friends in Allentown, to discuss the plans for the facility which will be called the Cirrus Center for Decommissioned K9s. Seeds, along with her partner Risa Krohn, have established the Bubbles Fund to begin fundraising to make the facility a reality.
