Hundreds of purses and handbags owned by Emmaus resident Ilene Hochberg Wood are on display now at the Kemerer Museum in Bethlehem, for an exhibit titled "PURSEonality: A Stylish Handbag History." Wood is thought to have the largest private handbag collection in the nation with around 3,000 bags total.

Special guests Harold Koda, Curator in Charge of the Costume Institute at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art; Jan Glier Reeder, Consulting Curator at the Costume Institute at the Met; and Charles James, Jr., heir to the Charles James estate, join host Bathsheba Monk to talk about the exhibit opening on May 8th at the Met, 'Charles James: Beyond Fashion.'

Koda and Reeder, co-authors of the exhibit's companion book by the same name, will also discuss the expanded and enhanced Costume Institute at the Met, which is being unveiled with this exhibit. (Original air-date 5/5/2014)
