WDIY is offering a special trip to Ireland, hosted by Celtic Faire host Rick Weaver, November 13-20, 2013.  Stops on the trip include Dublin, Guiness Storehouse, Blarney Castle, Killarney, Dingle Peninsula, Cliffs of Moher and Ashford Castle, with plenty of free time to add a few pub visits between stops.

Day 1: Overnight Flight (November 13, 2013)

Experience a true taste of “Irish Splendor” on a trip that combines fabulous accommodations, stunning scenery and sumptuous food. Join us and return to times gone by during your unforgettable tour of the amazing Emerald Isle.

Day 2: Dublin, Ireland - Tour Begins (November 14, 2013)

Your tour begins in rollicking Dublin. Tonight, meet your fellow travelers as you gather for a special welcome dinner. Today dinner will be included.

Day 3: Dublin  (November 15, 2013)

Today, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dublin, the “Fair City.” Take in O’Connell Street, Grafton Street, Phoenix Park and the city's magnificent rows of stately Georgian town homes. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, which dates back to the 13th century. Your tour concludes at the Guinness Storehouse where you will learn about the brewing process that creates this beloved beverage. This is your chance to discover the training and technique needed to pour the perfect pint and to enjoy one! The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax in one the world’s most vibrant cities. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore the cultural offerings of delightful Dublin on your own. Today breakfast will be included.

Day 4: Dublin - Killarney  (November 16, 2013)
Begin your day with a journey to the town of Cashel to view the historic Rock of Cashel, the reputed location where St. Patrick preached and converted the King of Munster. Next, journey to historic Blarney Castle where you have the opportunity to kiss the famous Blarney Stone. Legend has it that those who kiss the stone are bestowed with the gift of eloquence. You will also have time to shop at the famous Blarney Woollen Mills, the world’s largest Irish gift store. End your day in charming Killarney. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.

Day 5: Killarney - Dingle Peninsula - Killarney  (November 17, 2013)

Set off this morning to follow what is perhaps Ireland’s most majestic coastal route – the stunning Dingle Peninsula. Stop at the Gap of Dunloe where you can shop for traditional Irish goods handcrafted by local artisans. Travel to the town of Dingle and then drive the beautiful Slea Head road, where some of the country’s most spectacular landscapes are found. Tonight you are free to relax or perhaps choose to enjoy an optional Irish cooking class and dinner at one of Killarney’s fine restaurants. Today breakfast will be included.

Day 6: Killarney - Cliffs of Moher - Cong (November 18, 2013)

Depart Killarney and travel across the countryside of Kerry to the River Shannon. A short ferry ride will bring you across the river to the Clare coast. Journey to the stunning, 700-foot-high Cliffs of Moher for awe-inspiring views of the mighty Atlantic and the Aran Islands. Then, travel through the vast limestone landscape of the Burren, known for its stark beauty and Neolithic tombs. Continue past scenic countryside to the fairytale setting of Ashford Castle, regarded as one of Ireland’s finest hotels. Overnight in this castle and toast the end of a magnificent trip during a fabulous formal dinner. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.

Day 7: Cong - Tullamore - Dublin  (November 19, 2013)

Enjoy a relaxing morning at the castle before you return to Dublin. Along the way, visit the Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre where you will learn how Irish whiskey is made and enjoy a tasting. Tonight, come to know Ireland's true secret - its people. Meet a few of the boisterous locals over a pint when you enjoy a drink and entertainment at a local pub and see why the Irish are known for their generous and hospitable nature.

Day 8: Dublin (November 20, 2013)

Your tour ends today. head home with a lifetime of Irish memories.

To complete your vacation, we include roundtrip airport-to-hotel transfers when purchasing Collette airfare with your tour.  If you have arranged for your own air, we are pleased to provide you the option of purchasing these transfers.  Please note that all transfers will leave at pre-scheduled times.

This tour requires average physical activity.  You should be in good health, able to climb stairs and walk reasonable distances, possibly over uneven grounds and cobblestone streets.

IMPORTANT: We recommend that our clients traveling abroad take a photocopy of their passport and applicable visas. It should be packed separately from your actual passport and visa. We also recommend leaving a copy at home with your emergency contact.

*Airfare: For your convenience, we offer airfare for purchase with all vacation packages.  If you purchase an air inclusive program, your airfare will be quoted inclusive of all fuel, taxes and fees.  Your rates are subject to change until paid in full.  Seats are limited and may not be available on every flight or departure date.

Checked Baggage Charges: Some airlines may impose additional charges if you choose to check any baggage.  Please contact your airline or refer to its website for detailed information regarding your airline’s checked baggage policies.

Cancellation Charges for this tour: After your seat reduction date has passed, a non-refundable deposit will be retained.  For Cancellation between 60-16 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 30% of total price. For cancellation between 15-1 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 50% of total price.  For cancellation on the day of departure and after: 100% of total price. For Ocean Cruises:  For cancellation between 90-61 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 35% of total price. For cancellation between 60-31 days prior to departure: 60% of total price. 30 or fewer days prior to departure: 100% of total price.  For River Cruises: including Europe, Russia, Egypt and China, 90-61 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 50% of total price. For cancellation between 60-31 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 85% of total price. For cancellation 30 or fewer days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 100% of total price. For Galapagos and Antarctica: A cancellation fee of 60% will apply for cancellation between 120-90 days prior to departure; A cancellation charge of 100% will apply for cancellation less than 90 days prior to departure.  Cancellation protection is highly recommended and must be purchased at time of deposit. Air rates are subject to change until tour is paid in full. If waivers have not been purchased and a reservation is cancelled for any reason prior to departure - Air is 100% non-refundable once paid in full. Cancellation charges also apply to reservations made for "pre" and "post" night accommodations.   Purchase of Waiver and Insurance guarantees a full refund of all payments (including deposit), except the Waiver and insurance fee itself, made to Collette Vacations for travel arrangements in case of cancellation of your travel plans for any reason prior to the day of departure.  The Waiver and Insurance does not cover any single supplement charges which arise from an individual's Traveling companion electing to cancel for any reason prior to departure.  Upon cancellation of transportation or travel services where you, the customer, are not at fault and have not canceled in violation of the terms and conditions above, you will be refunded 100%.  Please see your sales agent for more information, or review our brochure for details.

I agree that any dispute concerning, relating, or referring to this contract, the brochure or any other literature concerning my trip, or the trip itself, shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration according to the then existing rules of the American Arbitration Association in the State of Rhode Island.  Such proceedings will be governed by and in accordance with substantive Rhode Island law. The arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to any claim that all or any part of this contract is void or voidable.
