The Woman King tells the story of a female warrior group in Dahomey (now Benin) in the 1820s during the African slave-trading days. Gina Prince-Bythewood (director, The Old Guard) directs Viola Davis and John Boyega in an Oscar-nomination worthy movie. Paul Willistein of the Lehigh Valley Press reviews the action history drama.
