Ray currently serves as President of WDIY's Board of Directors as wells as host of Blue Moon Cruising, which airs Saturdays from 5 to 7 pm. He first joined the station in 2002 as a local host of All Things Considered. Back then, he also served one term as Treasurer and member of the Board. In 2004, Ray approached Operations Director Neil Hever with the idea of airing a 1950's themed Doo Wop/R&B/Old Time Rock and Roll show. Since the program lineup lacked this genre, 'Blue Moon' made its WDIY debut at 11 pm each Monday evening. After about a year in this time slot, listener interest prompted the show's move to its current 5 pm Saturday afternoon time slot.
