Music Therapy for Patients with Alzheimer's Disease on Take Charge of Your Life

Eleanor Bobrow discussed a therapy that is being used at the YWCA of Bethlehem as well as at Gracedale in Nazareth. The therapy uses music to help patients who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease.

Eleanor was joined by Sabrina Keim, Director of the Adult Day Services Center at the YWCA in Bethlehem, Donna Dzojko, Director of Therapeutic Recreation at Gracedale in Nazareth, who has instituted a program of individualized music on I-Pods for each patient, and Janet Rosenthal who has been married for 55+ years to her professional husband who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and for whom she recently discovered the use of music on an I-Pod has been making a difference.
