Rebecca Walz

Director of Development & Public Relations

Rebecca has been Director of Development and Public Relations since April, 2010. She came to the station with over ten years of experience in broadcasting, including several years with PBS. She holds a BA in Communications from Minnesota State University, Moorhead, and an MA in Broadcast Management from Michigan State University.

"I am very pleased to be a part of WDIY. I feel honored to represent the organization as we continue to bring music, news and cultural diversity to the Lehigh Valley . I strongly believe in community public broadcasting's mission, and I'm excited to share that enthusiasm with our listeners, volunteers and community."

Rebecca resides in Bethlehem.  In her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, rock climbing and a cold IPA on a warm summer night.

Eighth Annual Poetry Project Winners on Lehigh Valley Arts Salon

Hosts Paul Willistein and George VanDoren welcome the three first-place winners in the Eighth Annual Poetry Project; a collaboration between The Press newspapers and WDIY. Each student poet will have a chance to read their winning poem, and discuss the inspiration for their work. There will be one student in each of the three age groups: elementary, middle and high school.

The Marine Band of Allentown Featured on "Community Bands of the Lehigh Valley"

WDIY began its new monthly feature “Community Bands of the Lehigh Valley” this morning as part of its WDIY Classics program. The monthly program will air at 11am on the last Monday of the month for the next year, culminating with the Concert Bands International Convention happening at Miller Symphony Hall in March, 2014.
