Linda Barsik has been a program host for over 14 years of the 20 years The Arabic Show has been on the air at WMUH and WDIY. She rejoined WDIY in 2011 and has enjoyed bringing her favorite music and chat to more listeners. She most often plays tracks that are upbeat, danceable Arabic ballads like those produced by Amr Diab while still appreciating the classic stylings of Um Khulthoum, Fairuz and many more who paved the road for today’s artists.
In her spare time, she devotes herself to human rights advocacy for minority groups around the world, with a particular emphasis on the Circassian Genocide in their ancestral homeland of the Caucasus Mountains and home of the 2014 Winter Olympics at Sochi. She is currently an MBA student at Lehigh University with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. She is looking forward to graduation and marrying her non-profit passions with assisting small businesses and entrepreneurs in pursuing sustainable business practices.
